Airport: Executive aviation generates an increase in handling companies operating in Beja.

There are already four handling companies, ground support services, to operate at Beja Airport, thanks to the increase in the number of executive flights that use the Alentejo infrastructure.

Portway, Omni, Safeporto, from the Hi Fly Group and Sky Valet, there are four handling companies (ground handling services), that provide assistance services to aircraft on the ground, that are operating at Beja Airport.

Assistance services are provided in Categories and for each Category there are different modalities. ANAC issues licenses for the categories/modalities that companies intend to develop.

With these licenses, companies then seek market access licenses, in order to carry out activities at airports.

Source from ANA-Aeroportos de Portugal, explained to Lidador Notícias that “other handling operators may appear. We can associate the appearance of these new handlers with the growth of the executive aviation segment”, justified.

It should be noted that Beja airport (BYJ/LPBJ) is not coordinated by slots.
