The Democratic Coalition Unit (PCP-PEV) announced Carmen Rodrigues as head of the CDU List to the Parish of São Matias.
Carmen Rodrigues, 40 year old, is an Auxiliary Health Technique, native of St. Matthias. He is a member of the Portuguese Communist Party and according to the CDU “the village of São Matias and its people and traditions have strong roots”, an application that assumes the values and ideals of April and that "values the work and the intervention of CDU in the parish and municipality of Beja", which reaffirms the CDU project.
Carmen Rodrigues is the second known candidate in the race for the presidency of the Parish Council of São Matias, after PS announced the name of António Grade, in an autarchy whose president is the Independente Leonor Sousa, in which 2017 got 58,02% of the vote, against 37,03% of the PS candidacy e 3,21% CDU.
