Beja: Deactivation of the Municipal Emergency and Civil Protection Plan.

The Municipal Civil Protection Commission of Beja (CMPCB) chaired by the Mayor of the Municipality it was considered that the Areas of Concentration of Support to People of the municipality were deactivated in due course.

Its inactivation was done gradually, following the reduction of restrictive measures against the COVID-19 pandemic, namely the deactivation of the institutional pavilion of the fairs and exhibitions park and the facilities of the Beja municipal aerodrome and as well as the Rear Support Structure operating at Air Base no. 11.

To make the decision, the CMPCB, that met last day 27 of December, was based on the fact that the municipality of Beja is classified as a low-risk municipality, with 120 active cases, to data from 26 December 2022 and the mortality rate is 100 deaths, accumulated value since March 2020” and that the administration of the 4th dose of vaccination against COVID-19 in Beja takes place progressively and continuously

The epidemiological situation of the COVID-19 disease pandemic, according to data currently released by the Directorate-General for Health and information from the local health authority, has suffered a reduction throughout the national territory.

To date, the epidemiological assumptions or the need for exceptional Civil Protection measures that motivated the activation of the Beja Municipal Civil Protection Emergency Plan are not verified (PMEPCB) and at the proposal of Paulo Arsénio “the Municipal Civil Protection Commission of Beja spoke in favor of the deactivation of the Municipal Emergency and Civil Protection Plan of the municipality”, the deactivation of the PMEPCB was determined within the scope of the COVID-19 pandemic, with effect from the same day, 27 of December.
