Beja: Polytechnic Institute today celebrates the Day of Lusophone.


The Polytechnic Institute of Beja celebrated on Friday, in IPBeja Auditorium and Casa Lusophone, the Lusophone Day in IPBeja.

IPBeja_800x800Lusosphere is a union of spirit which covers the countries that share the same language, the Portuguese language, will reach 380 million speakers in the middle of this century.

The Polytechnic Institute of Beja has been one of the educational institutions that has focused on receiving students covered by the Statute of International Students in force in the country.

The institution which has received students from Angola, Guinea-Bissau and Sao Tome and Principe, perspetivando other stops. Regardless of these students from a special status, the institution has also received from the very early times, Cape Verdean students and other countries of the Community of Portuguese Language Countries.

The Ombudsman student with the support of the Presidency thus streamlines the Day Lusophone in IPBeja, which will begin with an opening ceremony in the main auditorium, a lecture given by Dr. Tiago Cardoso, Nguzu the Project Coordinator will address the theme "Lusophone the future", following a show where students from these countries will show the cultural roots of their countries of origin, as detailed in the program.

The highlight of the Lusophone Day will be the inauguration of the House of Lusophone-Shikoba, a space that aims to provide better conditions for the reception and integration of students from the African Portuguese Speaking Countries, and aims to be the bridge the cultural divide, multicultural among Lusophone students, with the entire academic community and Bejense, who want a strong approach to the continent cradle of humanity.

Allusive to the day in question, the canteen of the institution will Cachupa, Traditional Cape Verde dish, e Mufete, traditional dish of Angola. It will also be opened in the House of Lusophone-Shikoba in the afternoon a temporary exhibition will announce more concrete cultural aspects of African Portuguese Speaking Countries. A more intimate sharing of different cultures, sons, knowledge and flavors.

This initiative organized by the Office of the student with the support of the Presidency aims to foster integration in academic life and inclusion in local community, Portuguese-speaking students studying at IPBeja.
