Beja: Polytechnic Institute today inaugurates a new residence for students.


The IPBeja inaugurates a new student residence in the center of the city of Beja, to meet the growing demand for accommodation from their students.

IPBeja- Residência_800x800The IPBeja today inaugurates a new mixed residence, in downtown, which resulted from building rehabilitation works located in Santo António street, where the ancient headquarters of the Polytechnic Institute were located.

The works of rehabilitation and upgrading of the building were designed to respond to the increasing number of students of the Institute, seeking accommodation in homes, and consisted in the transformation and adaptation of space in order to provide it with the best living conditions, safety and comfort for the new purpose it was intended.

This way, the IPBeja increases your student accommodation capacity, in more 32 Beds, and simultaneously contributes to revitalize the historic center of Beja with the dynamics of young people seeking Institute here continue their higher studies.

Currently the SAS-IPBeja, offer 280 Beds, distributed 3 residential:

• Mixed Residence I - located at Praceta do Alentejo Daily, in Beja, offering 61 double rooms, 2 single rooms for students with special educational needs, providing a total of 124 Beds.

• Mixed Residence II - located at Manuel Gomes Serrano Street, in Beja, offering 53 double rooms, 7 double rooms and 12 single rooms, providing a total of 125 Beds.

• Women's Residence - located at Rua Cidade de São Paulo, in Beja, offering 13 double rooms and 5 single rooms, providing a total of 31 Beds.
