Beja: Leonel Borrela honored during the festival B 2019.
Inserted in the official celebrations of 350 Years of the First Edition of the Portuguese Letters and edition of the Festival B 2019 dedicated to Mariana Alcoforado, will be honored Leonel Borrela.
The Municipality of Beja decided to promote a just tribute to a great artist who chose Beja like your home and inspiration.
Leonel Borrela dedicated part of his life to the study and promotion of Mariana Alcoforado, the paint and on Beja with relevant work including iconography Pacense they should serve as a legacy in recognition of his work as artist and appreciation of Beja and the region.
The aim to extend that legacy and give you national and international dimension, that is deserved and fair for its quality and importance.
A tribute to Leonel Borrela, will be held the next day 1 June, a partir the 17,00 hours, of Beja Regional Museum. The Municipality of Beja notes that “We celebrate his figure as man and artist”.
