Fire department: “Waste of water” generates reaction from the commander of the Beja corporation.

The marriage of a firefighter and a firefighter, in which colleagues watered the groom's car, became “a waste of water”. Corporation commander reacts harshly to the news.

“I take full responsibility for the situation., because I am fully aware that the conduct of the firefighters had nothing transcendent or immoral”, was Pedro Barahona's reaction, Fire commander of Beja Volunteers (BVB) on corporate social media.

In question is the news published on the front page of a media and replicated on its television channel., treated from “a complaint” supported by a video in which the partners in the bride and groom water their car from a firefighting vehicle.

In a tough way and defending that you work with him on a daily basis, Pedro Barahona, it was quite caustic: “I consider it regrettable that news is produced and fed on a fact as banal as paying a small tribute to the two fiancés of this corporation.. It was a completely improvised reaction by a team traveling to lunch and, when he crossed paths with the procession he decided, with my full consent, to baptize a marriage of two of his comrades, that you want happy and lasting, in a heartfelt and genuine tribute”, justified.

“I am extremely proud of all the men and women who work day-to-day for the community., and I know that this work is recognized by the overwhelming majority of the citizens that we humbly serve. I am grateful that the marriage of these two firefighters from the fire department of Beja, has become (although for the wrong reasons) at the hottest wedding of the year, relegating others to the background”, finished.

Without mentioning any of the problems that affect the corporation on a daily basis, namely the lack of money for the repair of the self-ladder, whose budget is budgeted in 60 thousand euros, Pedro Barahona, left a guarantee: “Here we will continue as usual, from 1889, to serve and help all who need us, from the beloved to the intolerant, without looking in color, creeds or ideologies”, concluded.
