Firefighters from nine district corporations are part of the Reinforcement Group in fighting the Covilhã fire.
Within the scope of DECIR 22, was designed yesterday with the assignment of a rural firefighting mission, 1 (a) Group reinforcement for Fighting Forest Fires (GRIF), in order to reinforce the combat device in the Garrocho theater of operations, Covilhã, withe Castle.
The GRIF is headed by the Commander of the Mértola Fire Department and integrates: two tactical command vehicles (VCOT), four combat vehicles (VCI), two combat support vehicles (VTT), a rescue ambulance (ABSC) and a vehicle for specific operations (VOPE), in total 10 vehicles and 32 firefighters, of the Fire Departments of, Almodovar, Alvito, Beja, Castro Verde, Ferreira do Alentejo, Mértola, Moura, Serpa and Vidigueira.
