The Castro Verde City Council will reinforce, in 2021, financial support granted to the Volunteer Firefighters and the Castro Verde Nucleus of the Portuguese Red Cross.
An increase in 8% what, in the case of Voluntary Firefighters, it will translate into support from 74.130 EUR / year, ie more 5.490 euros than in the year 2020.
The Castro Verde Nucleus of the Portuguese Red Cross, in turn, will have full support from 17.393 euros, which represents an increase in 1.288 euros, in 2021.
This financial reinforcement, in the view of the City Council, represents an asset for the consolidation of the quality of the humanitarian service provided by both institutions and intends to value the essential role that they have in the municipality.
parallel, also the Fireman and Red Cross Municipal Cards, support measure of this municipality, entered into force on 2021.
Both Cards grant access to a set of rights and benefits to members of both institutions, such as exemption from 50% in water tariffs, sanitation and solid waste.
The support of 100,00 € per year for direct descendants to purchase school supplies up to the 12th year of schooling or up to the 18 year old; free access to Municipal Pools, Municipal Cinema and other public facilities in the Municipality, as well as the “Activity with‘ life â€programs, "Shake your life", “Swimming School†and “Municipal Tennis Schoolâ€.
Note also that, in the framework of the Covid-19 pandemic in the municipality, yesterday the Castro Verde City Council also assumed the costs of carrying out tests on Covid-19 at the local Fire and Red Cross Corporation.
