On the fourth day of the New Year, according to the daily report (Daily report 05-01-2020-1) the Local Health Unit of Baixo Alentejo (ULSBA), the municipality of Beja registered 297 active cases, the highest value of the thirteen municipalities in the ULSBA's area of ​​influence, followed by Mértola with 120 and Vidigueira with 101 infetados.
Regarding the end of the year, MĂ©rtola presents more 25 cases and Vidigueira more 11 infetados. The municipality of Serpa, that had been registering a significant decrease, returned in the last few days to increase the numbers of those infected, 52 to 79 infetados, in other words, more 27 positive cases.
The Municipality of Barrancos, which closed the year as “Limpo de Covid”, continues to be very positive., still not registering any positive case.
The ULSBA data, which does not include the municipality of Odemira, the number of active cases is 825, having been known 48 Novos infetados, in total 2.476 infetados. There is also the registration of 26 patients admitted to the ward and 4 at the Intensive Care Unit of Hospital José Joaquim Fernandes, in Beja.
