Mértola, Serpa and Odemira, are the municipalities of the district of Beja, whose incidence rate of accumulated cases of infection by the new coronavirus was higher than 500 cases by 100 thousand. Barrancos is a “zero” municipality.
The latest data released yesterday in the bulletin of the Directorate-General for Health (DGS) on the incidence rate of cases accumulated between 4 and 17 December by counties indicate that the number of cases has risen in several counties in the district where more than 500 cases of infection by 100 thousand.
Among the counties most affected by the number of infections by the new coronavirus is that of Mértola, with 733 cases by 100 thousand, followed by Serpa with 643/100 thousand inhabitants and Odemira with 429 infections / 100 thousand inhabitants (https://covid19.min-saude.pt/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/294_DGS_boletim_20201221_15.30.pdf).
With an incidence of more than two hundred cases, are Cuba with 128/100 thousand inhabitants and Alvito with 202 infections / 100 thousand inhabitants. With more than a hundred Castro Verde 173/100 thousand, Almodôvar with 164/100 thousand inhabitants and Vidigueira with 109 infections / 100 thousand inhabitants.
With an incidence rate of over fifty, Ferreira do Alentejo appears with 76/100 thousand, Beja with 66/100 thousand inhabitants and Moura with 58 infections / 100 thousand inhabitants. Below half a hundred are Ourique with 43/100 thousand inhabitants and Aljustrel with 12 infections / 100 thousand inhabitants.
Between 4 and 17 December Barrancos is a “clean” county of covid-19, with zero incidence cases.
Among the counties most affected by the number of infections by the new coronavirus is Vimioso, with 2908 cases by 100 thousand, followed by Marvão with 2862/100 thousand inhabitants and Castelo de Vide with 2364 infections / 100 thousand inhabitants.
