A new Covid-19 outbreak was detected at the Lar da Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Serpa with 13 users and 3 infected employees. Yesterday existed 71 active cases in the county.
The president of the Chamber of Serpa explained that 10 of the infected users of the institution were transferred, yesterday afternoon, from home to a rear space created in the Municipal Pavilion and that the others 3 are hospitalized at the Hospital de Beja.
According to Tome Pires, cited by Lusa the first case of Covid-19 at Lar de São Francisco, owned by Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Serpa, with 94 users, it was that of an employee who took a test with a positive result last Wednesday, after having had symptoms of the disease.
The next day, the mayor said that "all users and employees were tested" and, on Friday, it was known that “13 users and more 2 employees were infected".
in this sense, the autarchy has prepared a rear space in the Municipal Pavilion to accommodate the 13 infected users and the transfer, in charge of firefighters, took place yesterday, for about an hour.
Yet, due to worsening health, "three of the users were transported to the Hospital de Beja", which means that, only, 10 were installed in the rear space, revealed Tome Pires.

According to the data available on the facebook page of Serpa City Council and referring to 13,00 horas do dia 29 November, existed in the county 71 active cases, of 164 infected since the day of 2 March, 411 under surveillance in their homes, 91 recovered and 2 deaths.
