Home Support Service closes next day 30 of September, there are six more workers for unemployment. Service moves to Santra Casa da Misericórdia.
Two months after the closure of the two Residential Structures for the Elderly (ERPI’s), occurred 31 July, the National Directorate of the Portuguese Red Cross (CVP), chaired by António Saraiva, natural Ervidel, will give a “new ax” to the Beja Delegation, ending the next day 30 of September, with the Home Support Service (SAD).
The end of SAD brings with it the dismissal of six more workers, five assistants and one technician.
In a negotiation, which is not public, between António Saraiva and João Paulo Ramôa, president of the Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Beja (SCMB), users go to this institution, which will ensure home support. The considerations exchanged between the two institutions for the “transfer” of CVP users to SCMB are not known..
Update: Some clarifications were requested from the president of SCMB, it was justified that “the CVP service ends on the aforementioned date and that between the two parties there is an agreement for contractual succession, Santa Casa is awaiting the conclusion of the process being instructed by Social Security”, João Paulo Ramôa not having revealed whether some of the CVP SAD workers moved to Santa Casa da Misericórdia.
When homes close, on 31 July, the Beja Delegate, Jorge Farinha, left the institution by his express will, being replaced by a Special Delegate, Rosalia Cardanho, who combines functions with the person responsible for the Estremoz Delegation.
After the closure of ERPI’s and now the Home Support Service, What remains to be asked is what the future of Patient Transport in Ambulances will be., it will end ?. If this happens, the Beja Delegation will close ?
