WYD 2023: Group from Forli (Italy) return via Beja Airport. tired but happy.


A week later, a group from Forli, Italian city in the province of Bologna, who participated in the World Youth Day (WYD), returned to the place where he started to be happy in Portugal, the Beja Airport Terminal for the return home.

Before opening check-in, the young Italians spread out on the floor outside the terminal, like inside to rest after an early morning journey to get to Beja, coming from cascais, where they stayed during WYD week.

Two marks were visible on everyone's face.: tiredness and happiness. There are also two thoughts in everyone., that after the call of Pope Francis became objectives: “go forward to the Jubilee of Youth in the year of 2025 in Rome and the World Youth Day of 2027 In yours, in South Korea”.

Led by the Bishop of Forli, Don Livio Corazza, around four dozen young people are returning to their homes today, the first group with a scheduled flight to the 09,20 hours and the second at 18,15 hours, also from Beja Airport.

When Lidador News (LN), the head of the Forlian Catholic community revealed that WYD “was a very rich experience for everyone. The boys and girls were very brave and returned proud of their meeting with the Pope and above all with God”, justifying that “tomorrow begins to prepare Rome 2025 and then it will be Seoul”, finished.

Aria M, of 24 year old, sitting in your wheelchair, spread happiness on her face and assured that “it was a very beautiful experience, rich and exciting. It was difficult to move in a wheelchair, but with the help of my colleagues everything was easy”, adding that the vigil and meeting with the Pope “was something incredible and that made me love God even more”. When asked about the upcoming fixtures for games scheduled for Rome and Seoul, Aria shot: “I am ready to go”.

On the use of Beja Airport by the delegation from Forli, Bishop Don Licio Corazza, justified that “we walked a few kilometers but it was worth it because there is no confusion. It is a direct contact with people and the space is welcoming, in addition to the plane being very close to the airport. We were very welcomed”, concluded.
