In the Financial Yearbook of Portuguese Municipalities relating to 2020, the Municipality of Mértola appears once again with excellent performance in several indicators, getting a final grade of 12th, in the global ranking of small-sized municipalities included in the list of 100 top rated globally.
For this overall performance, the 8th place achieved in the group of 308 Municipalities at the level of the “Budget Balance” indicator, 14th place in the indicator "Degree of Coverage of Expenses" and 12th place in the indicator "Degree of Execution of the Effective Balance, from the perspective of the Commitments"
In the global ranking of Municipalities in the District of Beja, the Municipality of Mértola occupies 1st place, with 1230 points.
