Mértola: "In the margins of the Mondego" dance and fado of Coimbra.

Within the municipal initiative Remember Serrão Martins, Cine-Theater Marques Duque, in Mértola, receives today at 21.30, the dance performance and the Coimbra fado "In the Mondego Margins", dance company of Flic Flac.

Love, detachment, illusion and dreams. Women who have, between guitar strings, gossips and covers students, his fate and his loves and desamores on the banks of the river Mondego. Evocation of the lives of tricanas and their relationships with students and gossips of Coimbra, sustained by the sounds of Coimbra fado and music of Louis Travassos. A story of a woman named Coimbra, danced by women and performed by men.

This show is an artistic symbiosis between dance and music. In him, one not live without the other. As the man sings and plays, the woman dance "with him" and for him, as tradition dictates Coimbra.

Based on these traditions, appear the characters of the show: the student – coming to study Coimbra and just want to flirt with Tricana and try to seduce her with his serenades; a Tricana – Earth woman, which works essentially as valet and, sometimes, lets himself be entangled by the covers of students; the philistine - the land of boy, who did not study at the university and working to support the family.
