Moura: Visits to IPSS’s users suspended.


Evolution of covid-19 infections in the municipality of Moura, lead to suspension of visits to users of IPSS’s in the municipality.

The Municipal Civil Protection Service of Moura revealed that, after the usual weekly meeting with Private Social Solidarity Institutions (IPSS’s) of the county it was decided to suspend visits to users of these institutions as of this Monday, 4 January, for a week. This preventive measure, results from the analysis of the evolution of the number of cases of infection with the new SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus in the Alentejo region and in particular in the municipality of Moura.

Is intended-, thus, safeguard the health of the population most vulnerable to COVID-19 disease.

After this suspension period, a new assessment of the epidemiological situation will be carried out, in order to adopt the measures that are considered most appropriate with regard to the resumption of the usual visits to users of IPSS’s.

According to the latest data (Daily report 03-01-2021) the Local Health Unit of Baixo Alentejo (ULSBA), until 24 Saturday hours, 2 January, in the municipality of Moura there are 34 active cases, more 3 than on the last day of 2020, a total of 220 that the Municipality has already registered, the joining 182 recovered and four deaths.

Basic Urgency Service locked up no saturday

An outbreak of COVID-19 in the Basic Emergency Service of Moura (SUB), where they were confirmed 10 active cases of infection with the new SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, that led to a shortage of human resources, which compromised the normal functioning of the SUB, ULSBA decided to end this same service.

The solution found allows the SUB de Moura to reopen yesterday by 16:00, working every day, entre as 08:00 e as 24:00, with resource queries, a service that will be provided by 1 (a) doctor, 1 (a) nurse, 1 (a) technical assistant and 1 (a) operational Assistant. The reopening of this service, even if conditioned, due to the previously mentioned outbreak, will allow the population to provide basic emergency care, until date to be defined.
