Between the days 20 September and 20 October, the population of Odemira can choose and vote between 23 proposals for public investments within the scope of the Participatory Budget process (ON) Municipal and Parishes.
Voting can be done via SMS, on the online page www.op.cm-odemira.pt or in person at the Balcão Único of the Municipality and at all Parish Councils. Can vote all citizens aged from 14 years. For any clarification, OP Hotline is available, through number 283 320 938.
The proposals being voted on, of a material and immaterial nature, consist of specific responses to the needs of communities, for cultural projects, educational, sports, environmental and civil protection, as well as the improvement of public spaces.
The Municipality undertakes to integrate the winning proposals in the OP into the municipal budget and its execution within a period of 30 months. With a view to territorial cohesion, the implementation of at least one project in a parish of the municipality with less than 1500 population, among the most voted proposals on the final ranking list, no valor global de 300 thousand euros.
The Participatory Budget Odemira aims to enhance the exercise of participatory citizenship, to improve the quality of life in the county. Invigorated since 2011, It is the oldest and most uninterrupted participatory process in the country, now in its 13th edition, based on the strategy of the Municipality of Odemira to enhance public participation, through positive and constructive factors, based on proximity principles, transparency and opportunity.
