Odemira: Participatory budgets in the parishes in return 2018.
considered “a success the first edition of the Participatory Budget process (ON) each of 13 parishes of Odemira” ensures continuity in 2018.
The process aims to strengthen the active participation of citizens, through the presentation of projects and respective voting.
As in the first edition, the municipality of Odemira will provide financial support, the annual value of € 10,000.00 by parish, as well as technical support for the implementation of the process and analysis of proposals (Technical Analysis Committee includes a Municipal Technical).
PB of parishes resulted 20 winning proposals, whose implementation will be the responsibility of the parishes, being the predicted values ​​in the respective budgets 2018. The parishes have streamlined their own OP processes, deliberative (It is the citizen who decides), with the conducting participatory Assemblies, having the vote elapsed between October and December. The vote has mobilized a total of 1596 residents.
With the creation of participatory budgeting processes in all Parishes, a partir de 2017, and the promotion of the Municipal Participatory Budgeting (launched in 2011), Odemira has become a county 100% ON.
It should be noted also the realization in Odemira a Participatory Meeting of disclosure of Participatory Budgeting Portugal (UP), on 25 January, and the participation of a group of young people from Odemira and the Participatory Budget Youth Portugal (OPJ), who managed to reach the final voting phase with a project.
