A man, of 26 year old, Spanish nationality, driver of a truck coming from the south of Spain heading to the Alentejo city of Moura, died on Wednesday morning following the crash of a heavy goods vehicle.
The accident occurred at 07,30 hours on the Municipal Road (IN) 518, close to the town of Mina da Orada, parish of Pias, municipality of Serpa and VÃtor Benitez, the mortal victim was the only occupant of the vehicle, who was imprisoned and died immediately, confirmed on site by the doctor in the emergency and resuscitation medical vehicle (VMER).
The heavy vehicle carried two fiber tanks in its body with liquid fertilizer inside., an agricultural fertilizer that does not present any ecological problem for the land or trees in the area and borders where the accident occurred.

The body of the Spanish citizen was transported to the Beja Medical-Legal Office where it will be autopsied.
