Integrated in the programming of the Municipal Education Conference, intended as a tool to reflect on the preservation of freedom and human rights, fundamental to the existence of plural and just societies.
Originally created by the Anne Frank House (Amsterdam - Netherlands), the exhibition presents itself as an educational tool, in order to lead to reflection on the period when the Nazi regime was in power, and keep alive the memory of Anne Frank, whose diary became the symbol of the victims of all forms of discrimination and oppression.
The story, told through the Frank family perspective, is linked to the history of the Holocaust from the account of survivors.
Contains many elements that challenge thinking about the similarities and differences between past events and happenings in the world today, in order to stimulate reflection on the importance of concepts such as freedom, mutual respect, human rights and democracy.
Adds the importance, for today, awareness about the need for a participative citizenship for the preservation of freedom and human rights, fundamental basis for the existence of plural and just societies.
