(Last hour) Beja: the Parliament Resolution on promoting the Airport.
Has today published the National Assembly's Resolution No. 116/2019, where it is recommended to the Government the appreciation of the Beja Airport.
The document approved by the Parliament (WITH) in 5 July, and published today in the Official Gazette, It urges the Government appreciation of the Beja Airport as a tool for the development of the region, where AR urges that the Executive “appropriate, matter of urgency, the revision of the Strategic Plan of the Beja Airport, strengthening the strategies already defined therein, including activities related to the productive sectors”.
The Parliament asks the Government to “fill out in order to develop, briefly, with regard to the integrated industrial zone under the concept of industry airport (aeronautics, maintenance, formation, agribusiness and activities, generally, need to use the airport), special conditions and characteristics of positive discriminatory support”.
But the recommendation goes further and challenges the Government to “bet in the medium / long-term strategy to develop, Alentejo, an aeronautical cluster, articulating the Beja Airport with other existing structures and businesses and to create in the region, an integrated vision of industrial development and services, as well as
enhancement of public infrastructure in the region”.
