Initiative recognized seven projects from the agricultural sector that stood out in the areas of sustainability, Process innovation, Product Innovation and New Projects.
A EDIA, Project Management of the Alqueva Project and responsible for the largest watering area in Portugal, has received – the “institutional” award.
The winners of the 13th edition of the National Agriculture Award were revealed (PNA), in a ceremony that took place in Lisbon. The initiative distinguished national successful success cases, Agro -industry, Forests and Livestock.
EDIA-Alqueva Development and Infrastructure Company, S.A. was the winner of the “institutional” special category. Created in 1995, EDIA is the public company responsible for the management of Alqueva, contributing to the promotion of economic and social development in its intervention area (next to 20 Counties of the districts of Beja, Évora, Portalegre and Setúbal).
At the event were also released the winners of the four categories in the competition - process (Class fruits), Product Innovation (Fertiprated), New projects (Hemp), with headquarters and factory in the municipality of Ourique, and sustainability (Disgusted), in Odemira.
