The Government created extraordinary measures to support farmers, organizations and associations in this sector, with a global allocation of 4,7 million, aimed at mitigating the impact of rising fuel and production.
“Extraordinary support is created to mitigate the impact of rising fuel prices in the agricultural cooperative sector for producer organizations and their associations”, reads an ordinance published yesterday in Diário da República.
The allocation is 2,5 million, being ensured by funds from the budget of the Agriculture and Fisheries Financing Institute (IFAP).
Agricultural cooperatives can benefit from this support, producer organizations and companies owned in more than 50% by cooperatives accredited by the AntĂłnio SĂ©rgio Cooperative for the Social Economy (CASES).
Beneficiaries must present diesel consumption used in their vehicles, reported in 2011 and/or 2022, with the respective accreditation or knowledge.
On the other hand, they must be registered in the IFAP Beneficiary Identification database and cannot have received extraordinary support, created 2022 and 2023. The payment request must be submitted to IFAP.
The diploma also creates for this year an extraordinary measure of financial support for farmers under the Small Agriculture Regime.
At stake is an amount of 50 euros per beneficiary, with the total amount of support being 2.240.350 euros.
“In case of undue payment, IFAP promotes their recovery, upon notification for voluntary reimbursement, or coercively, through tax enforcement, if the beneficiary does not return the aid unduly received within the period stated in that notification”, cautioned. Interest is also charged on these amounts..
laying down minimum health and safety requirements for consumption, signed by finance ministers, Fernando Medina, and Agriculture, Maria do CĂ©u Antunes, comes into force on Friday.
