Alentejo: Solnave restoration company leaves IEFP canteens and pay the employees.


About two dozen workers in the canteens of the Training Centers of the Employment and Vocational Training Institute (IEFP) did not receive from Solnave, utility company until 31 of December, all the funds to which they were entitled.

Among the situations are about two dozen workers in the canteens of the Training Centers of the Employment and Professional Training Institute (IEFP), Évora, Santiago do Cacém, Aljustrel and Beja.

The company did not see the concession renewed in those four centers and left unpaid the December salary and vacation pay and vacation allowance for 2015 and other compensations. Has learned the Lidador News (LN), when the contract ended, the funds agreed between the company and the IEFP were settled.

Given the insistence of employees, in January the company settled the December maturity, but left the rest unpaid, not having issued the corresponding receipt.

In 21 December last year, Solnave entered a Special Revitalization Process (WAX) and sent a letter to the employees for them to constitute themselves as creditors, with a view to starting negotiations for the revitalization of the company.

From the data sent to the judicial administrator, for credit recognition, there are employees whose outstanding amounts exceed two thousand euros.

Currently some of the employees, and how has happened when there is a change in the company that explores spaces, there was a transition of canteen workers, to the new dealership, no work break.

Late payment of December wages and Christmas subsidy, it's not a new situation at Solnave. In January 2014, the workers in the canteens of the IEFP training centers in Porto and Bragança made a serious statement., for non-payment of these salaries.

The case repeated itself at the beginning of 2015 when around them 50 canteen workers at three faculties of the University of Lisbon, were surprised by the closure of the same.

An email was sent to Solnave's operational department with six questions about the situation of training centers in Alentejo, but the company did not provide any clarification on the matter..
