Alentejo: Script "Citizenship in Portugal" promotes debate.

The Citizenship Tour in Portugal will be, between days 27 and 30 March, in the regions of Alentejo and Alentejo Central.

The week's program will include various activities and awareness-raising on issues such as Violence in Dating, Bullying, interculturalism, among others.

The objective of this initiative - a partnership between the Government and the Portuguese Association for Local Development (ENCOURAGE) - is to put the networks and local communities to discuss the issues of citizenship, of civic participation, combating inequalities and discrimination.

The map began last day 24 October - Municipal Day for Equality – and will travel throughout the country until the day 30 July 2017.

In the map of the route are already over 160 municipalities of mainland Portugal and the autonomous regions. The partnership network also involves municipalities, of government agencies, organizations Social and Solidarity Economy and other entities, such as ACAPO, Portuguese Federation of the Deaf, RUTIS, among others.

The project also includes the micro Association and the Foundation Maria Rosa / Share, net ex aequo, Center for Religious Freedom and Affordable Success.

The team travels the country in a van, fully equipped with recreational and educational resources, to support the promotion of activities proposed by local networks.
