Aljustrel: Arrested for passing counterfeit notes and possession of a prohibited weapon.


The Territorial Command Beja, Regional Detachment through Aljustrel, on 27 November, detained a man 49 years for passing counterfeit bills and possession of a prohibited weapon, in the town of Aljustrel.

Following various offenses related to the passing of counterfeit banknotes, in the district of Beja since the day 22 November, Guard soldiers were alerted to an attempt to pay with counterfeit notes in several establishments in the town of Aljustrel, carried out by two suspects.

Considering this situation, Police investigations were carried out which culminated in the location and interception of a vehicle in which the suspects were following, a man and a woman.

In the course of the action, personal security searches were carried out on the suspects and a search of the vehicle, culminating in the seizure of the following material:

47 false notes 10 euros and an extendable stick.

Following the action, the man was detained and the woman was identified. The facts were sent to the Judicial Court of Ourique.
