A Guarda Nacional Republicana (GNR) announced, this Saturday, who detained, on 7 November, three women and two men, aged between 17 and 67 year old, of olive theft, in the town of Aljustrel.
In a statement, the security force revealed that it received a report reporting an olive theft, prompting the military to move to the location.
The guards “found that the suspects were harvesting olives without authorization from the respective owner, having been immediately arrested in the act”.
In addition to the detainees, “four women and one man were also accused, aged between 18 and 38 year old”, informed the GNR.

The detainees were made defendants and the facts were communicated to the Judicial Court of Ferreira do Alentejo.
