Aljustrel: Big Athletics Award Santa Barbara, 8 of December.
The Union of Parishes of Aljustrel and Mills River, together with the Municipality of Aljustrel and NARMs - Athletics Center of Messejana, will organize on 8 of December, another edition, Proof of athletics among the miners neighborhoods, called 5th Grand Prix of St. Barbara.
Proof Absolute has STARTING scheduled for 11:30 of the Mining Gallery Algares (Access to the gallery Mine background) local recentemente restaurado, through the Malacate "Viana Pit" equipment carrying workers to the bottom of the mine and compressors Center where is a museum of industrial machinery.
The proof follows the Val D'district hollow, mining district of original features, then through unique sites related to ancient mining activity, integrated into the Mining Zone recently requalified, namely: chimney Transtagana, zona da cementação.
Proof of the younger beginning at 9:30 a.m. will be held in the Mining District of St. John.
This leads us into a 2nd stage of the competition, skirting the mining districts of Planning and Algares, up to Mills, which highlights the Malpique, which was fully recovered, from where you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the areas of current and former mining activity, ponds and village center.
The following is a 3rd phase, down to the area of the Municipal Swimming Pools and turning to the newly reclassified Garden 25 April, rising after the village center with bituminous pavements and driveways, through the religious heritage - of Mercy Church, Church and Our Lady of the Castle - Village ex-libris, where is situated a META WHEEL after climbing the grand staircase.
After cutting this goal, should be especially careful with the slippery and existing stairs on the way down for cuts of St. John, old mine, to move on to the finals in the mining district of St. John – META, approximately 12.00, after traveled about 10km.

For all of the aforementioned, we are certain that we will carry out an athletics event with unique characteristics and that has all the conditions to become a proof even more important in regional and national scene.
