Aljustrel: Second positive case in the municipality and in São João de Negrilhos.
Through information note nº 2, on Epidemiological Situation Municipality of Aljustrel do Covid-19, published on the Chamber's website, the second positive case was confirmed in the municipality and in São João de Negrilhos.
The Municipal Civil Protection Service of Aljustrel (SMPCA) confirms the second case of COVID-19 in the Municipality of Aljustrel, namely in the Parish of São João de Negrilhos.
This confirmation results from the tests that were done, competent health authorities, to people who were in contact with the first infected person previously registered in this same parish”.
The SMPCA justifies that “this positive result came about, so, in the household of the first patient, having all the tests, that were made to the professionals of the São João de Negrilhos Social Solidarity Association, who also provided assistance in this housing, coming negative”.
The Lidador News (LN) is in a position to say that the results of the tests carried out on three other relatives of the two infected are awaited, the first positive case has 88 year old, home user of the São João de Negrilhos Association and undergoing hemodialysis at the Beja Hospital Unit.
LN found that in the municipality of Aljustrel, in addition these two infected in mandatory confinement, there are others 13 people on active surveillance, waiting for results, where the three persons of the aforementioned household belong.
In the information note it is recalled that the health and safety authorities, the Municipality of Aljustrel, the Parish Council of São João de Negrilhos and other entities involved, identified, initially, the people and institutions that, in the last days, may have been in contact with the first infected. With this new case the same procedure is being done, so that it is possible to safeguard the transmission chain, and reach out to people who may have been in contact with the second positive case.
To the population of the municipality, municipality ensures that “continues to work in close partnership with all relevant entities, nationally, regional e local, and that will inform the citizens always with rigor and seriousness”.
