A youngster, of 20 year old, died this Monday in a work accident in the Aljustrel mines, no Beja district, revealed sources from the Civil Protection and the GNR.
Source of Relief Operations District Command (CDOS) de Beja indicated that the alert for the accident was given to the 17.48 hours.
The death was declared on the spot by the team of the medical emergency and resuscitation vehicle. (VMER) Beja the National Institute of Medical Emergency (INEM), the source added.
A source from the GNR Territorial Command of Beja revealed that the employee of the company Almina, dealership Mines Aljustrel, was in “work in the laundry, got stuck in that equipment and went into cardiorespiratory arrest”.

A worker at the Neves-Corvo Mine, managed by Somincor, owned by the Canadian multinational Lundin Mining Corporation, died in the early hours of Wednesday, victim of an accident at work.
Filipe Venancio, of 43 year old, Shift Leader, natural Almodovar, would have been the victim of intoxication caused by the accumulation of gases at the bottom of the mine, after a stone explosion occurred in the previous turn.
According to information provided by a source from the Volunteer Firefighters of Castro Verde, “the corporation was called by the Operational Center for Urgent Patients (CODU) to 0.59 hours for a victim in cardiac arrest (PCR) who was in the medical station of the mine. Despite the maneuvers to which he was subjected, it was not possible to reverse the situation and the man died”, revealed.
