Aljustrel: Traffickers trembled when they saw the GNR on the highway.


The GNR detained two men and seized two cars, five thousand doses of liamba and about 1900 euros. They were presented to a judge of the Court of Ourique.

The GNR arrested, Monday, Two men, with 20 and 27 year old, for drug trafficking, in Aljustrel. The two were intercepted on the A2 and were in possession of five thousand doses of liamba and about 1900 euros.

Individuals, who followed in two cars, were intercepted by military personnel from the Criminal Investigation Nucleus (NIC) Aljustrel, Beja Transit Detachment and Beja Intervention Detachment, as part of a crime prevention action on Highway no. 2 (A2).

When the military inspected the vehicles, the drivers revealed a suspicious behavior that was due to, it was known after a security review and a summary search of the vehicles, to the fact that they were in possession of a large amount of drugs.

They were seized 4 966 doses of cannabis, 1 875 euros in cash, eight cell phones and the vehicles in which they were traveling. The GNR constituted defendants two men, with 24 and 26 year old, who were in one of the vehicles.

The action also included the reinforcement of the Information and Criminal Investigation Section of Beja.

The detainees were made defendants and were present yesterday for the first interrogation at the Judicial Court of Ourique, for applying coercive measures, that are still unknown.
