Due to intense hunting activity in the Alentejo during this time, GNR of Almodovar, through the Nature Conservation Center (file image Lidador News), We conducted an operation with particular emphasis on monitoring in hunting and related activities, in the municipality of Almodovar, during the day.
In the course of the operation the military oversaw 22 hunters, made 2 news of proceedings for a crime against the preservation of species and 2 news notices for offenses under the Hunting Act.
Military detected and seized 6 devices that act as traps for capturing predators, situation that configures a crime against the preservation of the species, having released a prisoner in one of the traps feline.
Fruit of this action has not yet recovered one canine and delivered to its owner and found a dead Royal Kite whose cause of death appeared to be poisoning. Raptor was seized and sent under the antidote program for clearance and further investigation of the cause of death.
It was also supervised the transport and treatment of hunting dogs have been prepared 4 administrative offense notices under the Sanitary Laws.
