Higher and Professional Education students, residents in the municipality of AlmodĂ´var, who attend educational establishments in Beja, Cuba, Serpa and Faro.
As has been guaranteed in recent 10 year old, The executive of the AlmodĂ´var City Council is once again investing this academic year in supporting all higher education and professional students who reside in our municipality.
The AlmodĂ´var municipality has been ensuring again since yesterday, 29 September 2024, free shipping, for Beja, Cuba, Serpa and Faro, to students studying in higher education institutions, as well as professional education, in those cities.
The connection between AlmodĂ´var, Beja, Cuba and Serpa takes place on Sundays, departing from the Transport Coordinating Center, to 19 hours, the same happens with the connection to Faro.
No reverse direction, transport is carried out on Friday, leaving Beja at 19 hours, next to the Student Residence and University Center and leaving Faro at 20 hours, departing from Penha and passing through the PĂłlo das Gambelas of the University of Algarve.
For greater justice and opportunity for all our young people who study outside the municipality, and it is not possible for the municipality to carry out transport with its own means to all universities in the country, the City Council assumes all public transport costs that these students may incur.
The Municipality of Almodôvar justifies that “it understands that education is a pillar of the municipality’s development. As such, the executive will spare no effort in supporting our young people who want to continue their studies”.
