Alqueva: Tourist boat without control in Estrela (Moura) four people pulled from the water. there is a serious wound.


The operator of a tourist boat fell into the water at the Alqueva Dam, in the Alentejo village of Estrela, parish of Póvoa de São Miguel, municipality of Moura. It is the most serious injury.

The alert for the accident, whose reasons are still unknown, was given around 18.10 hours. There were six people on board the boat., four adults and two children.

Four people were pulled from the water., including a minor, that was under evaluation, and one was considered seriously injured. The vessel's operator had several cuts on his body., namely in the face, caused by the propeller of the boat and was helitransported to Hospital de São José, in Lisbon.

For the site were mobilized 36 operational and 14 vehicles of the Volunteer Fire Department of Moura, Mourão and Reguengos de Monsaraz, in addition to the Immediate Life Support ambulance (SIV) Moura, the Moura corporation vessel and the Évora INEM helicopter.
