Edia teamed up with The IPB - Polytechnic Institute of Beja, the second edition of International Fieldwork, course Aquatic Ecosystem Analysis, involving 20 Environmental Engineering students from the IPB and the Netherlands Universities, Lithuania, Poland, Croatia and Brazil, taking place in Beja until next 09 March.
this initiative, whose case study the Alqueva project, It is directed to the problem of combating invasive species in the Guadiana river and in the Alqueva dam, with the support of EDIA for demonstrating the methods applied by the Company in these matters, as well as the sharing of knowledge and experiences developed.
In this context, there will be a demonstration disinfection boats with one of the edia cleaning stations used to fight the introduction of the Zebra Mussel in the waters of Alqueva, next Thursday 2nd, day 5 Feb., by 12 hours, next to Marina Alqueva.
The next day, Tuesday, group moves to Merida, Spain, to make contact with the problems associated with the Water Hyacinth.
