Alqueva: Moura Nautical Station opened this Wednesday.


The Secretary of State for Tourism, Pedro Machado, Moura-Alqueva Nautical Station opens this Wednesday, by 14:30.

According to a statement from Câmara de Moura “due to weather forecasts, which point to the occurrence of rain during the day on Wednesdayâ€, the inauguration ceremony will be moved to the premises of the former EDP inn, next to the Alqueva Dam.

The Municipality justifies that the animation program also, which included the practice of water sports, music, cocktails and sunset Ãgua Castello, will be held next Saturday, day 22, a partir the 16:00.

Remember that, the Moura-Alqueva Nautical Station consists of a central leisure platform, a river beach and a motorhome park.

The central leisure platform includes a cafeteria, terraces and shops for tour operators, result of a joint investment of around 550 thousand euros, enter EDIA (62,11%) and the Municipality of Moura (37,89%), co-financed by Turismo de Portugal.

A praia fluvial, designated as Praia do Lago, includes two floating swimming pools and represented an investment of more than 1,6 million, value assured by Moura City Council, with co-financing from the FEDER, within the scope of the Alentejo program 2020.
