The roundtable “Opportunities for Agroindustry in the Alqueva region” will be held next Wednesday with live transmission from the Alqueva Stand at the National Agriculture Fair, in Santarém.
Addressing the opportunities generated by the Alqueva Multipurpose Project in attracting investments in the agro-industrial sector, is the main objective of this initiative which will be broadcast live on 8 different platforms from EDIA's Youtube channel.
This event, to make no next day 8 June, entre as 11 e as 12,30 hours, will begin with a framework and expectations for the agroindustries in the region, which will be attended by the President of the Board of the Association of Owners and Beneficiaries of Alqueva, João Rodrigues Cavaco; the Director General of MIGDALO, Miguel Chaves and the Mayor of Beja, Paul Arsenio.
The round table will follow, moderated by journalist Teresa Silveira and attended by the President of FIPA, Federation of Portuguese Agro-Food Industries, Jorge Henriques; Ana Frazão, by AGROGES consultant; the President of the Business Center of the Region of Beja / Business Association of Baixo Alentejo e Litoral, NERBE / AEBAL, David Simão and the CEO of EDIA, José Pedro Salema.
This initiative is the culmination of a joint project EDIA/NERBE/AEBAL for the promotion and internationalization of the Alqueva Project called “Alqueva, a new land of opportunity ", Application object to the Support System for Collective Action and financed by the European Regional Development Fund / Alentejo 2020.
