Alqueva: Paulo Portas and Asuncion Ridges EFMA visit the works of Beja county.

These works will benefit irrigated area of ​​San Matias with 5803 hectares, through the execution of three contracts, namely: supply the hydraulic circuit; the blocks 1 and 2 (gravity) with 3655 ha and the blocks 3 and 4 (pressure) with 2208 He has.
The total investment in these three contracts, funded by POVT and INALENTEJO, totals 48,8 million Euros.
Edia currently has underway 14 large contracts that will allow conclude, the irrigation campaign 2016, the initial design of the Multi Purpose Alqueva Development with about 120 000 He has.
In addition to the visited area, the works take place on irrigation blocks of Beringel and Poplar; Beja; Barras, Clod and Baronia Low; Barony and Alvito Alvito High and Low; Purple-Sado; Sinks; Caliços-Axes and Moura Gravitational, a total of around 30 hectares.
