The archaeologist Cláudio Torres, He will be honored by the Order of Architects, at the end of World Day celebrations class, with assignment of the title “Honorary Member”.
The World Architecture Day (DMA17) It has been to be celebrated from the last day 2 October, under the theme “Climate Change Action!”, celebrations extend until the end of October, with exhibits, debates and movies, organized by the Association of Architects.
During the solemn closing session of programming DMA17 celebrations held on the day 27 October, by 18:00, the Auditorium Nuno Teotonio Pereira, the National Order of Architects Headquarters, in Lisbon, the Order of Architects will honor some figures by awarding the title of “Honorary Member” and among them is archaeologist Cláudio Torres.
Current President of the Archaeological Mértola, which develops a wide research related to Medieval History, Cláudio Torres was responsible for the campaign developed in the mid- 1980 in Castle Noudar (Canyons).
The high point of his life came in 1991, when it was awarded the Pessoa Prize. Two years later, a 9 June 1993, He was awarded the Grand Cross of the Order of Infante D. Henrique.
