ASPIG / GNR: against association “measurement expertise” Biker to the Volta a Portugal.
The Partner Association - Independent Professional Guard (ASPIG) It is against the fact that the General Command of the GNR have determined the realization of a “proof measurement” to select the biker to the Detachment Eventual in Volta a Portugal.
The ASPIG does not understand the need, required by Command, performing a skill test, "Dexterity scouting in driving motorcycles", the result of which determines which military (motorcyclists) which will be the Detachment Traffic Possible, engaged in security around the bike in Portugal.
For decades the appointment of motorcyclists, for this purpose, It followed a scale that took into account, regarding the ability of the military, the opinion of the direct commander of these and seniority relative.
These criteria have always been accepted as the most suitable to allow almost all military, during his career, had the possibility of integrating such Detachment without the "seniority rule" was, unfairly, away.
The truth is that the skill test, now in force, excludes the criterion of seniority and the traditional desideratum of many militaras in being part of any Detachment Volta a Portugal, besides raising suspicions about their true purpose.
So, the ASPIG considers that the traditional method of appointment of the military for the event is the fairest and calls for elimination of the skill test, lest this come to create high motivation among the military and, consequently, in no way contribute to the healthy camaraderie and discipline, fundamental pillars of a military nature institution.
