The Unitary Democratic Coalition – CDU, makes public that João Dias is the candidate for mayor of Sergipe in the Municipal Elections of 2025.
João Dias, 51 year old, native of the Municipality of Serpa, is a nurse specializing in rehabilitation nursing, guest assistant professor at the University of Évora, at the University of Coimbra and at the São José de Cluny Nursing School. Graduated in nursing from the Escola Superior de Enfermagem de Beja, has a postgraduate degree in Rehabilitation Nursing and a postgraduate degree in wound treatment and tissue viability.

João Dias' candidacy for President of CM de Serpa is thus a commitment to renewal that continues the project, to the vision and proposals of the CDU and which intends to further deepen democratic management, proximity and innovative, that respects and values ​​the municipality’s workers, which aims to elevate the development of the Municipality to new levels in the most diverse areas and continue projecting Serpa in the Alentejo region.
João Dias is the first candidate to be announced in the race for the Municipality of Serpa.
The Municipality of Serpa has so far had 4 presidents: Satiro Costa Louzeiro (3) 1976-1979, João Manuel Rocha Silva (33) 1979-2012, Tomé Martins Pires (9) 2012-2021 and João Efigênio (4) 2021-2025.
