The Unitary Democratic Coalition – CDU, makes public that VÃtor Manuel Gomes Santos Picado is the candidate for the Presidency of the Municipal Council of Beja in the Municipal Elections of 2025.
Victor Picado, 47 year old, natural de Beja, Parish of Cabeça Gorda, has a degree in Educational Psychology, by the Higher Institute of Applied Psychology – Beja Center. He has a postgraduate degree in Educational Psychology in the area of ​​Special Educational Needs, by the Polytechnic Institute of Beja and University of Algarve.
Member of the Portuguese Communist Party, and member of the Beja Municipal Committee of the PCP, VÃtor Picado is currently a councilor at Beja City Council elected by the CDU.
The CDU Nomination for CM of Beja, whose candidate for Mayor is now announced, is assumed as the true alternative to a Socialist Party management that is increasingly distant from the populations and interests of the Municipality, without direction and vision for its development.
VÃtor Picado is the first candidate to be announced in the race for the Municipality of Beja.
The Municipality of Beja has so far had 6 presidents: José Reis Colaço (6) 1976-1982, José Costa Carreira Marques (23) 1982-2005, Francisco Cruz Santos (4) 2005-2009, Jorge Pulido Valente (4) 2009-2013, João Manuel Rocha da Silva (4) 2013-2017 and Paulo Jorge Lúcio Arsénio (8) 2017-2025.
