The Democratic Coalition Unit (PCP-PEV) revealed this Friday afternoon that Leonel Rodrigues is the head of the list for the Barrancos City Council.
A CDU, under the motto “peloquenosune”, announced this afternoon the first three candidates for the Municipality of Barrancos: Leonel Rodrigues, Claudia Costa and Dinis Garcia. Leonel Rodrigues was chief of staff in one of António Tereno's mandates.
On 6 July, the blog “Estado de Barrancos†revealed that Leonel Caçador Rodrigues was the independent candidate, supported by the CDU, to the Municipality of Barrancos.
With 45 year old, He holds a PhD in Economics from the Universidad de Huelva and the Universidad Internacional de AndalucÃa., Graduated in Business Management from the Polytechnic Institute of Beja. He is an effective member of the Order of Certified Accountants and of the Order of Economists.. In recent years, it has developed several activities, including: research in the doctoral program, from 2017, in the city of Huelva, Spain; tutor in the field of mathematics and economics and, currently, works as a contracted professor of Economics A, in secondary school, in the Group of Schools No. 2 Serpa. is councilor (opposition) of the Municipality of Barrancos since 2017.
Leonel Rodrigues is the third candidate for the Barranquense municipality, after the names of Dalila Guerra were known by the PPD-PSD/CDS-PP coalition and José Domingos Marques, PS hair.
In the elections of 2017, João Serranito Nunes, PS candidate, was elected with 44,62% of the vote, against 41,18% CDU and 10,59% of the CDS/PSD coalition.
Since the first municipal elections, Barrancos met five mayors: Carlos Hunter Durão (6 year old) 1976-1982, António Semedo War (11) 1982-1993, Antonio Pica Tereno (20) 1993-2001/2005-2017, Nelson Costa Berjano (4) 2001-2005 and João Serranito Nunes (4) 2017-2021.
