The Municipality of Serpa has so far had 4 presidents: Satiro Costa Louzeiro (3 year old) 1976-1979 elected by APU, João Manuel Rocha Silva (33) 1979-2012 Elected by APU and CDU, Tomé Martins Pires (9) 2012-2021 Elected by CDU and João Efigénio (4) 2021-2025 elected by the CDU.
