Motoring: Todos ao Estoril para a festa do European Le Mans Series.


The “European Le Mans Series (ELMS) 2015” comes to an end at the Estoril Autodrome. The Portuguese driver Filipe Albuquerque can win the European title at home.

Le Mans Series_800x800The date is approaching for the most important race of the year to be held at the Autodromo do Estoril: the European Le Mans Series final in the coming days 17 and 18 October. The race, lasting 4 hours, closes a continental championship designed in the image of the mythical 24 Hours of Le Mans.

In addition to being able to make contact with some of the machines that compete in Le Mans, the Portuguese spectator is also attracted by the presence of three Portuguese pilots, of which, Filipe Albuquerque, who is in charge of the championship, with a point of advantage over their closest opponents. Albuquerque will be present behind the wheel of a sport-prototype of the LMP2 class, the Jota Sport team, sharing piloting with the British Harry Tincknell and Simon Dolan. Turn, the Cascais duo, Filipe Barreiros and Francisco Guedes is favorite to win in the GTC class, where it will line up with a Ferrari F458 Italia GT3 prepared by AF Corse.

Spectators who go to Estoril will be able to watch a tasting with Le Mans flavor, but also finding a party atmosphere at the same level, where they will have at their disposal a series of attractions that will make them feel like
an integral part of the show. Starting with the possibility of contacting all the drivers who will be racing, with a “tour of the pits†to be held on Saturday at 12.30 pm and on Sunday at 10.30 am, and an autograph session at 11 am, where pilots will be available to share sympathy, sign autographs and distribute postcards depicting the
test.

As entradas para as Bancadas A, B and E will be free and the ticket price to the paddock’ will have the symbolic cost 10 Euros. If it is still not possible to move, RTP2 will broadcast the event live from 1pm on Sunday, day 18.
