The Driving Committee of the Citizen Platform (CDPC) “SIM! Beja Airport is part of the solution”, urgently requested, to the Minister of Territorial Cohesion an audience to discuss the strategic importance of Beja Airport (n.d.r: Terminal Civil).
In a statement, the CDPC reaffirms the need for land accessibility for development and territorial cohesion not only for the entire Alentejo but for the entire south of the country.
In the document and in response to requests for hearings addressed to all CIM.s in the Alentejo and to AMAL – Algarve Intermunicipal Community “is scheduled for the next day 10.4.2023, by 11:30 hours, at AMAL facilities, in Faro, the requested hearing” which will be present by the José Soeiro Citizen Platform, Manuel Tao and Manuel Valadas, Platform Spokesperson.
Following the presentation of the institutional video of the Citizen Platform, and the Seminar on the Airport and its accessibility, conducted last day 3.4.2023, at the CCDR Alentejo Auditorium, “the Dynamizing Commission sent the same to all the Chambers, Municipal Assemblies, Parish Councils and Assemblies”, justify.
In the missive, the Dynamizing Commission says that it “is convinced” that, considering the time you still have to collect signatures and currently having more than 4000 Collected over the Internet only, as 7500 necessary for the discussion of the Petition by the Plenary of the Assembly of the Republic “will be achieved with the commitment of the municipalities and other organizations of the Alentejo”.
