BA11/Beja: Air Force Unit hosts the 61st NATO Tiger Meet 2025.


Between 21 September and 3 October 2025, Several flight squadrons from NATO member countries and partners will meet at Air Base No. 11, in Beja, to participate in the annual NATO Tiger Meet exercise (NTM25).

The announcement was made by the Portuguese Air Force on its website and confirms the news from Lidador News from the past day 17 June, in which he revealed that NTM25 would take place in BA11, organized by Squadron 301-”Jaguares”, da BA 5, Monte Real.

The 61st edition of NTM25, event defined as the largest world meeting of Tiger Flight Squadrons, is organized by the NATO Tiger Association (North Atlantic Treaty Organization).

One of the most important and prestigious exercises carried out in Europe, represents a unique opportunity for participants to test techniques, tactics and procedures in contested scenarios, requiring solutions across multiple domains.

The exercise will synchronize several aerial assets, naval, terrestrial, cyber & space as well as fifth generation elements, promoting a high dynamic of interoperability.

O NATO Tiger Meet, created by the NATO Tiger Association, traces its origins back to 1961. In 2025 Portugal hosts this exercise for the fifth time, under organization, planning and execution of the Portuguese Air Force, being the fourth time that the Air Base 11 welcomes the NTM where military and aeronautical aircraft and flight squadrons from different countries are present.

In the last edition held at BA11, due to the covid-19 pandemic, some activities did not take place, like the air festival cases, of the static aircraft exhibition and the traditional Open Base day.

In Portugal, the first NTM took place in 1986, na BA6, no Montijo, the second in 1996, the third in 2002 and the fourth in 2021, these three taking place in BA11, in Beja.
