Beja: Opening of a new pharmacy. Controversial transfer.

New pharmacy, to ninth, will open to the public (Saint Lucia). His transfer from Ferreira do Alentejo to Beja is shrouded in controversy.

The transfer of the new pharmaceutical unit in Ferreira do Alentejo (CMFA) for Beja, had the negative opinion of the Ferreira do Alentejo City Council, but still Infarmed will have authorized this operation.

At the meeting of the CMFA Executive of 19 August 2020, an order from Infarmed was analyzed, that after analyzed, it was unanimously decided that: “The chamber gives a negative opinion to the claimâ€, after the Social Division Services sent the document with a proposal for a “negative opinionâ€.

It all started when the owner and owner of the Singa Pharmacy permit, in Ferreira do Alentejo, and also from another unit in Pias, have asked Infarmed to relocate it to Beja, that in turn, in 15 July 2020, requested the municipality's opinion on the said request.

According to the minutes 18/2020 da CMFA, in the document analyzed by the Executive “the fundamentals of this request are fundamentally linked to the fact that the owner of the space existed, denounces the lease, and have not yet found available space that meets the minimum conditions for the installation of the pharmacy â€.

On 11 August, President of the local authority, Luis Pita Plum, pronounces on the subject and among other recitals, maintains that in the argument the applicant “does not demonstrate the complaint of the lease, nor the impossibility of renting another location â€, arguing that if the applicant does not intend to continue the management of the pharmacy “it can perfectly pass this management on to third parties, possibly interested, by goodwill or other suitable and applicable figure, instead of relocating it outside the Municipality â€.

Despite the negative opinion of the Ferreira do Alentejo Chamber on the relocation of the pharmacy, Infarmed will have had a different opinion and will open in Beja.

Lidador Notícias posted several questions to the Institute on the subject by email, questioning in particular that: Existing negative opinion from the CMFA, what reasons are behind INFARMED's approval of the authorization for said transfer?, received no timely reply.
