The Beja Municipal Assembly approved at its ordinary meeting last Wednesday, the great options of the plan and budget of the City Council of Beja to 2025. The municipal budget includes the reinforcement of the funds for urban cleaning and the largest ever increase for parishes.
The city's forecast documents were approved with the favorable votes of the Socialist Party bench, the abstention of the coalition with Beja achieves and the votes against the CDU.
The budget presents a global value of 64,4 million, reflecting a solid commitment to the development of the municipality of Beja, identifying a set of measures aimed at improving public services and the well-being of the population.
One of the most impactful measures is the historical reinforcement of urban cleaning, area that sees the investment, settling in 1,5 million euros the global value to invest throughout the year.
This is also the document that stars in the largest increase in always in the transfers to the parishes with a fixed increase of 8,5% (€ 167.000,00), which add more € 300.000,00, € 25.000,00 by each parish to sign in program contracts, Total num of € 467.000,00.
In the social area the municipal budget includes the significant reinforcement of regular support for IPSS's, passing an annual support of € 2.000,00 for € 5.000,00. In culture we underline a new update, now from 25%, in regular support to the choral groups of the municipality of Beja.
Human resources, The Personnel Map approved following the budget, provides for hiring 40 new employees for various areas and sectors of the municipality, especially 15 Operational Assistants (Educational action assistants), in order to guarantee an effective functioning of schools.
The municipal budget also includes, among other works, The beginning of the flávio dos Santos stadium requalification process; paving the streets Zeca Afonso, Salgueiro Maia and Joaquim Manuel Delgado; The beginning of the procedure of requalification of the surrounding zone to the new Palace of Justice or background interventions in the social neighborhoods of Beja in which the municipality has real estate, providing better collective living conditions to the population of the municipality of Beja.
